Adult Violin Lessons

It's not
too late.

Beautiful tone, beautiful heart — violin instruction rooted in patience, presence, and permission.

About This Program

My own life with the Suzuki Method has taught me that music was never meant to be a race against a clock, or something you either "caught" as a child or missed forever. It's a relationship — one that can begin at any age, and one I now get to help adults build for the first time, or pick back up again.

Dr. Shinichi Suzuki (1898–1998) believed "every child can" — but the deeper truth underneath that idea is timeless: talent isn't something you're born with or without, and it isn't something you had to seize by age seven or lose for good. It's cultivated, patiently and joyfully, whenever you're ready to begin.

"Giving yourself permission to be a beginner — without shame — and finally hearing your own voice come through the instrument."

His guiding philosophy, "beautiful tone, beautiful heart," is still at the core of how I teach adults. This isn't about catching up to where you "should" be, or proving anything. It's about giving yourself permission to listen closely, to be a beginner without shame, and to finally hear your own voice come through the instrument — maybe for the first time.

You bring your whole story into this — the childhood lessons that didn't stick, the violin that sat in a closet, the "I always wished I had..." This work is a partnership between your past self and your present one. Together, we're not just building technique. We're reclaiming something.

For the adults who commit to this path, it becomes more than a hobby — it becomes a standing appointment with joy, and often, an unexpected gift to the person you were long before this. I'd be honored to help you finally meet them.
